Subtle ‘white cloud’ inclusions drift through the stone imparting a sense of the ethereal.

The suspension detail is partially concealed with the adjustable cord appearing to emerge from the top of the petal fold

thus eliminating any visual distraction in the flow of this 3D, personal adornment, sculptured Blue Jade.

Hand Carved White Siberian Jade

A wonderful, clean, tight grained white Siberian nephrite with gold coloration seeping through the stone. The unique layering allowed the highly glossed tendril to be carved in the pure white jade section giving a startling contrast to the subtle underlying golden hues which are finished in a fine matt on the body of the piece.

The rear view illustrates the coloration of this near 2 inch, sculptured, white jade pendant.

The near four inch long, sculptured Blue Jadeite ‘Lily Pod’

is a stylized flower form designed to illustrate the wonderful translucency of the jade.

Polished, high gloss lips to suggest a ‘wet’ look and soft glossed tendril tail curled over the matt finished rear of this sculpted jadeite flower form. Faint matt dots on the inner form add another subtle surprise.

Blue Jadeite ‘Lily Pod’ Evolvement

Hand carved from Blue / Green Guatemalan Jadeite.

This is a very fine, tight grained Guatemalan Jadeite with considerable translucency which will be explored in the refining of the ‘Petal’

Hand carved Jade Lily Pod

As the material was slowly removed and the translucent qualities began to be apparent the piece gained a whole new aspect of life and appreciation for the jade increased.

Under the normal workshop incandescent lighting this stone tended toward a blue /yellow -green however as the afternoon sun streamed in the window and lit this jadeite carving the color changed dramatically to a wonderful clear blue.
